Join Mellow Flow Yoga for a summer day in the countryside at the beautiful Burlap and Lace Barn as we immerse ourselves in the rejuvenating goodness that nature has to offer. This full day retreat on July 20 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. will guide you to a place of tranquility and renewal.
 

This retreat will leave you feeling more grounded and in harmony with yourself through the practices of:
 

  • Morning and afternoon yoga and meditation sessions with live music by Ian C. Bouras, Musician and Producer, New York City

  • Gong Meditation and Sacred Sound Immersion: Deep meditation and the healing vibrations of The Gongs and other sacred vibrational instruments will create a deep sense of peace and well being.

  • Forest Bathing - The Japanese art of "shinrin-yoku" This practice will take us on a guided journey to deeply connect with nature using all five senses.

  • Mindful Eating Practice: Catered farm to table fare dining alfresco on the beautiful grounds of Burlap and Lace.

  • Live Kirtan Music: LivAvtar Kaur, Recording Artist/Mantra Singer, will lead us through the blissful practice of Kirtan chanting/singing sharing original songs from her latest album.

  • Reflection Time: Free time to explore, journal and reflect in the picturesque countryside between acres of meadows and rolling hills.

2023 Winter Retreat

Kids Mindfulness and Yoga Retreat

We had a great time at our first-ever Kids Mindfulness & Yoga Retreat! The retreat gave the kids a unique mindfulness experience during School Winter Break.

 

The event offered a simple approach to kids physical, mental, and emotional health based on creative, playful practices that are simple and fun and easy to implement into everyday life!

 

The kids learned breathing techniques, multiple yoga poses, mindful eating, guided imagery meditation, and more in a playful, fun way!

They also got a chance to focus on their senses and created glitter jars to help relax their minds. 

Thanks to Michael Mumford for taking us on our culinary journey exploration to healthy eating.

2022 Summer Retreat

Summer Solstice Yoga and Mindfulness Retreat

At our Summer Solstice Yoga and Mindfulness Retreat we found peace, light and love.

 

We began our day in nature with morning yoga followed by Guided Imagery Meditation focusing on letting go and making room to replenish and restore. Despite Mother Nature's plan for the day, we lit each other up with positivity and embraced every moment and every experience.

Thank you to Michael Mumford for taking us on a culinary journey of plant powered, delicious, organic foods from the earth. Not only was it luscious, it was art on the plate! Thank you to Michael Phoenix heart for sharing your gifts with us. You took us to places of deep relaxation, inner reflection and helped us to find our inner light and personal power. Thank you to Lorri Matthewson for taking us on a transcendental journey of sound through the Sacred Symphony of Sound in Nature, pure peace. Thank you to Ian Bouras for sharing your beautiful gift of music throughout the day, it took us to another level of relaxation. 

 

So grateful and blessed to have shared this day together.

2021 Fall Retreat

Autumnal Yoga and Mindfulness Retreat

Autumn is a time of transition, a time to let go and replenish. We immersed ourselves in the rejuvenating goodness that nature had to offer as we shared in the meditation and yoga on the beautiful grounds of Fernwood Farm in Cazenovia, New York.

 

We began our day in nature with morning yoga followed by Guided Imagery Meditation focusing on letting go and making room to replenish and restore. 

Our day continued with a Mindful Eating practice prepared from Autumn's bounty in a rustic, elegant setting. The afternoon began with a traditional Japanese tea ceremony "Chado" followed by a transformational Sound Healing experience. The day concluded with a peaceful Yin Yoga Aromatherapy practice.

 

We enjoyed free time throughout the day for quiet reflection on the over six acres of gardens, ponds, trails and woods. This retreat was for all levels, including those new to yoga. Retreats are always kept small and intimate. We hope to see you at our next yoga retreat.

2021 Summer Retreat

Grounding In Nature: A Yoga and Mindfulness Retreat

At our 2021 Summer Retreat at Pixley Falls State Park, we grounded ourselves in nature with the five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether.

 

We explored earth by immersing ourselves in a grounding yoga practice, explored water as we meditated next to the flowing stream, explored fire as we balanced our energy through a smudging ceremony, explored air through a relaxing pranayama breathing practice, explored ether through a soothing sound healing journey.

We enjoyed the healing sounds of crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, bells, and chimes for this outdoor symphony of sacred sound. Being in nature and soaking up all of earth's vibration as you hear the high-vibrational frequencies of the singing bowls recharged and restored our  body, mind, and spirit to a sense of balance and harmony.

 

The day's retreat  also included a mindful eating practice with catered vegan lunch focused on plant- based foods for grounding. We had free time to do light hikes of the many trails and explored the breathtaking waterfalls.

We began our day with a rejuvenating yoga practice as we took in the resplendent views of fall foliage over Oneida Lake.

 

 

We shared in a mindful eating practice as we enjoyed farm to table fare prepared fresh from autumn's bounty, served in a rustic, elegant setting. Our day continued with guided imagery meditation focusing on letting go and making room to replenish and restore. Our day continued with a transformational Sound Healing experience and we concluded the day with a peaceful, relaxing Yin Yoga Aromatherapy practice.

We had time throughout the day for quiet time and reflection on the over 175 acres of fields, meadows and woods of this English Equestrian complex. This retreat was for all levels including those new to yoga.

 

The venue is home to a refurbished 5600 sq. ft. barn built in the early 1900's. The barn has been converted into a beautiful facility for events in a warm and inviting space. The venue is surrounded by an impressive equine facility, woods, beautiful pastures and an expansive view of Oneida Lake.

Restoration and Relaxation Retreat for the New Year

Guests joined us for a day of restoration and relaxation as we renewed for the New Year. 

 

We joined together to balance the mind, body and spirit through the practices of Yoga, Mindfulness, Meditation and Sound Healing.

 

Our day began with Aromatherapy Mellow Flow Yoga followed by a deeply relaxing immersion into Sound Healing.

 

We shared in a Mindful Eating practice as we enjoyed simple, whole, healthy foods.

 

The afternoon began with Candlelight Yin Yoga followed by a Guided Meditation centering on restoring and renewing for the New Year. 

 

We were accompanied by live relaxation music.

We shared in a mindful eating practice as we enjoyed farm to table fare prepared fresh from autumn's bounty, served in a rustic, elegant setting. 

 

Our day continued with guided imagery meditation focusing on "letting go and making room to replenish and restore. " The day concluded with a peaceful, relaxing Yin Yoga practice accompanied by live music.

 

We gathered at the end of the day to enjoy the installations of art amongst the beauty of the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park.

Summer Solstice Evening Yoga Retreat

Mellow Flow Yoga celebrated the Summer Solstice on the beautiful grounds of the Oneida Community Mansion House. 

 

Summer solstice comes from the Latin word solstitium, which means "the standing still of the Sun." 

 

We embraced standing still with the sun as we harmonized mind, body and spirit as the light faded on the longest day of the year.

 

We enjoyed evening meditation on the Great Lawn, refreshed ourselves during our mindful eating practice with simple whole foods of the season and ended our celebration with sunset yoga, accompanied by live relaxation music, overlooking the beautiful garden.

2019 Spring Retreat

Spring Awakening Yoga Retreat

Mellow Flow Yoga completely immersed ourselves in a day of awakening for the Spring Equinox. 

 

We replenished and restored for the new season with a day of yoga, meditation, sound therapy and mindfulness at the historic Oneida Community Mansion House.

 

The day began by awakening our senses through Aromatherapy Yoga

 

We then immersed ourselves in the deep relaxation of sound therapy with Sound Therapist Jeffrey Gregory of Pyramid Wellness Center. Midday we took a pause to nourish our bodies through the practice of mindful eating.

 

Our afternoon began with CandleLight Mellow Flow Yoga. This unique blend of poses and breath harmonizes the mind, body and spirit. We concluded our day with the practice of guided imagery meditation accompanied by live piano music. 

 

This day was a day of deep relaxation and finding our inner peace and calm.
